Caverject Impulse and how it helps erectile dysfunction

Caverject Impulse has emerged as one of the more successful remedies to erectile dysfunction. Erecetile dysfunction is a condition afflicting some men, as a result of which they are either unable to have or retain erection to complete the sexual intercourse process. The combined effect of local muscle relaxation and local blood vessel dilation is that more blood flows into the penis, thus causing erection. The erection is maintained until the effect of the drug wears off, after which the penis returns to normal. In most cases, Caverject Impulse starts its action within five to 20 minutes after injection, and lasts about half-an-hour to an hour. The longevity of the effect is higher in younger patients.

It can be inferred from the above that Caverject Impulse is not a cure for erectile dysfunction, but an ad hoc treatment for a short period, yet long enough to enable the patient to enjoy sexual intercourse. However, some precautions need to be taken.

Precautions while using Caverject Impulse:

The most important precaution is that you should not start using Caverject Impulse without consulting your physician. There can be drug-drug interactions, particularly if you are taking anticoagulants. Also, you must not use more than one dose during a 24-hour period and not more than three times a week. Finally, you must consult your doctor if the erection caused by Caverject Impulse is painful or if it lasts more than fours. This type of prolonged erection is call priapism, and can cause permanent problems such as impotence.
